Pre-Flight and In-Flight Services

OASIS transmits and receives messages to support search-and-rescue operations. It also offers a modern, integrated weather-graphics display with automated flight-planning capabilities. OASIS is providing all these advantages to general aviation in Alaska today.

OASIS provides critical flight service automation for the Alaska flying community. The ongoing success of OASIS is the result of a strong collaboration between the Federal Aviation Administration and �鶹�� Technologies to meet the unique requirements of Alaska’s challenging environment.

OASIS Architecture

OASIS is installed and operational at 17 AFSS/FSS Alaskan sites, the Anchorage ARTCC, and the Alaska Flight Services Information Area Group (AFSIAG).

Alaskan Aviation

Aviation is the major form of transportation in Alaska, where flight services operate in a demanding environment that requires high availability. The Operational and Supportability Implementation System (OASIS) provides critical flight service automation for the Alaska flying community.
